| Summary: Walt Disney World hotels are legendary for their variety, offering something for everyone. Whether you are budget conscious or looking for luxury, you'll find what you want among the Walt Disney World hotels! |
Walt Disney World hotels are legendary. In fact, one of the most enticing features of a vacation at Walt Disney World is the variety in accommodations. Located right on the property of Disney World are 20 different hotels to choose from, each offering something different and special. The resorts range from value pricing to deluxe spas, and everything in between. While most of these hotels cater to families, it is possible for adults to find some quiet time and grown-up entertainment on the premises!
All of the Walt Disney World hotels offer swimming pools, dining, gift shops, and a host of other amenities such as room service, dry cleaning, and complimentary transportation to all of the theme parks and Disney attractions. Babysitting service is available at most locations as well. One of the nicest perks offered to resort guests is that each day, one of the four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM Studios, and the Animal Kingdom) opens either an hour early, or stays open three hours longer than usual, and these extended hours are available only to hotel guests. You can plan your day accordingly, choosing to visit these theme parks on the days when the crowds will be a little thinner and lines will be a little shorter.
The value hotels that you’ll find at Disney World include the All Stars Resorts, and the Pop Century Resort. The All Stars is divided into three separate themed properties; All Stars Sports, All Stars Movies, and All Stars Music. Each one features themes and scenes from beloved Disney movies, as well as kid-friendly food and fun. The Pop Century Resort featured time capsules on display everywhere, celebrating how life has been over the past 100 years.
There are also four moderately priced resorts available at Walt Disney World. The Caribbean Beach Resort features white sand beaches and small ‘island villages’, as well as many water and beach activities. The Coronado Springs Resort is done in a Southwest theme, featuring replicas of Mexican historical sights and relaxing palm trees shading beautiful haciendas. There are two Port Orleans Resorts in this category: the French Quarter which reflects the busy social scene and nightlife of New Orleans, and the Riverside, which is more tranquil and reminiscent of old-style Southern hospitality.
Six properties are labeled “home away from home” resorts, and cover everything from quaint villas to campgrounds. The Beach Club Villas resemble luxurious seaside homes, while the Boardwalk Villas capture the warmth of small inns, complete with a charming wooden boardwalk. Fort Wilderness offers log cabins and campgrounds, complete with horseback riding and other outdoor activities. The Wilderness Lodge is more upscale, and mirrors a chalet in the Rocky Mountains dating back to the 1800’s. The Old Key West Resort is a tropical paradise, and the Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa takes you away to the days of a simpler life, with Victorian architecture and beautiful bike paths.
The deluxe resorts at Disney World have almost every amenity you could wish for. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a themed hotel that carries guests off to an African safari. The Beach Club Resort and Boardwalk Inn are located in the same spots as their respective villas, but offer more luxurious accommodations. The Contemporary Resort is exactly as its name implies - sleek, modern, and streamlined. The Grand Floridian is a stylish resort that caters to their guests’ every whim. The Polynesian Resort is like a mini-vacation in itself, replicating the splendor of the South Seas. Finally, the Yacht Club Resort features sandy beaches, boating, and a mini water park.
No matter what your budget or preferences, you’re sure to find a hotel at Walt Disney World that will suit your tastes and capture the magical experience that goes along with any Disney vacation.
