Have you ever checked into a hotel where every room was a suite? The Rio hotel in Las Vegas features more than 2500 suites varying in size, price-range and style. There are several types or suite-styles available for rent including standard suites, Cariocas suites, Super suites and Masquerade suites.
Standard suites are the least expensive suites, but they offer 600 sq. feet of space, a lounge area and outstanding panoramic views of the city. Cariocas suites are around 1100 sq. ft. with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, a living room, a jacuzzi in the bedroom, walk-in closets, half baths and a wet bar. If you’re looking for an even larger space, opt for deluxe accommodations. The Super suite has everything the Standard and Cariocas suites have to offer along with 1200 sq. ft., a dining room and concierge services. The Masquerade suite, the most extravagant suite of them all, offers a whopping 1600 sq. ft., a formal dining room, a master bedroom with jacuzzi and walk-in shower and all the amenities the other suites have to offer.
The Rio’s spacious accommodations and panoramic views have made it one of the most popular all-suite hotels in Las Vegas, but it is also considered one of Vegas’ most popular entertainment destinations. The Rio hosts a variety of hit shows such as Tony & Tina’s Wedding, Penn & Teller, the Chippendales and stand-up comedy and improv shows, to name a few. In addition, the Rio houses some of Las Vegas hottest nightclubs and lounges including the VooDoo Lounge, the Flirt Lounge, I-Bar and Club Rio.
Located on the 51st floor of the Rio, the VooDoo Lounge is a live music venue and dance club. It is also a part of the VooDoo restaurant on the 50th (and 51st floors) which serves up American and Creole fare. The Flirt Lounge is the one of the Rio’s most sophisticated cocktail lounges and the I-Bar, opened in 2004, is more of a clubby lounge with DJs spinning soulful house and down tempo music nightly. Club Rio is considered one of the best dance clubs in Las Vegas and features a 30,000 sq. ft. dance floor, tribal dancers and spectacular aerial performances.
There’s something for everyone at the Rio. Gamblers will appreciate the 100, 000 sq. ft. casino floor with slots, keno and table games; shoppers will lose themselves in eclectic little shops selling artwork, flowers, jewelry, casual wear and souvenirs; beach enthusiasts and those looking for a bit of pampering and little relaxation will enjoy the Rio’s spa and salon services as well as Rio’s man-made beach - Ipanema. Ipanema Beach features cascading waterfalls, five swimming pools and yes, the sand is real.
Guests will never have to leave the confines of this luxurious resort as they also feature every type of cuisine available. Whether it’s Indian cuisine, Mexican or Asian fare, Italian food, seafood, steak, world class buffets or traditional American fare, the Rio has you covered.
It should be noted that the Rio also offers wedding packages and they also feature a golf course created specifically for Rio guests. The 18 hole Rio Secco Golf Course is located just 12 minutes south of the Las Vegas strip and is “set among the rolling foothills of the Black Mountain range” in Las Vegas.
Suite prices depend on the time of the year and suite type and may range anywhere from $45 per night during low season and for smaller suites up to $400 or more per night for high season and deluxe suites. Weekend prices are typically higher than weekday prices and Cariocas, Super and Masquerade suites can be booked by contacting the Rio directly at 888-396-2483.
