| Summary: When you picture a Las Vegas hotel, certain themes come to mind. Casinos, big luxurious guest rooms, fountains, and buffets are all famously tied to big-name Las Vegas hotel companies like the Bellagio, Luxor, the MGM Grand, Circus Circus, and New York New York. When you picture a Las Vegas hotel, certain themes come to mind. Casinos, big luxurious guest rooms, fountains, and buffets are all famously tied to big-name Las Vegas hotel companies like the Bellagio, Luxor, the MGM Grand, Circus Circus, and New York New York. Certainly these establishments define the Las Vegas experience, but there are all kinds of accommodations to be found in this busy and beautiful city, from opulent resorts to quaint bed and breakfasts.
Las Vegas is well known for its hotels. Many have been featured in major motion pictures, immortalized in song and in literature, and splashed across the pages of travel magazines or highlighted on travel shows on television. Visitors can take their pick from these high-profile hotels that feature spectacular decor, bustling casinos, and top notch guest services.
If you’re looking for something more budget-minded, Las Vegas offers many lower priced hotels. Chains such as Travelodge, La Quinta, Holiday Inn Express, Howard Johnson’s, Clarion, and Super 8 all have a presence in Las Vegas, although these hotels are generally located off of the Strip. Even if you choose a hotel that’s outside of the Strip though, there are free shuttles to be found all over Vegas that will take you into right into the heart of the action, where you can find great dining, shows, and entertainment.
The areas surrounding Las Vegas also have some great hotels, and you’re not far from the neon lights and casinos. Henderson and Lake Las Vegas offer a Ritz Carlton, and a Hyatt Regency resort that features a giant man-made lake. You can rest and take advantage of the premier services and amenities here, and then take in the shows and fabulous Las Vegas dining in the evening.
Rodger’s House bed and breakfast is also located in the city of Las Vegas, and this property is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Take in the quaint 1950’s decor, while you’re only minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip. Other bed and breakfast establishments in the area include The Historic Boulder Dam Hotel and the May House Inn.
Whether you’re looking to stay in a premium, big-name hotel and take advantage of the casinos, shows, and atmosphere, or you’d prefer a small budget hotel away from the Strip, there is sure to be a Las Vegas hotel that will suit your needs perfectly. There really is something for everyone here!
