| Summary: A stay at a Disneyland hotel is nearly as fun as the theme park itself. So round out and complete your Disneyland vacation with a stay at a Disneyland hotel. |
Disneyland - it’s a magical place for young and old, where a sense of fantasy and fun prevails. No matter where you go, there are sights to see, shows to attend, and activities to take part in, all featuring beloved Disney characters and themes.
Disneyland owns three hotels, two of them being older high-rise style buildings, and one a relatively new resort which mirrors the luxury accommodations found at Walt Disney World in Florida. When you book a Disneyland vacation package you can choose which Disneyland hotel you’d like to stay at, depending upon availability. Disney offers several promotions each year, highlighting their hotels with discount coupons and special offers. To find these, check major big-city newspapers, the American Auto Association, or a Disney-approved travel agent.
The Disneyland Hotel is the oldest of the three hotels available, and consists of three towers that house 990 guest rooms. The property includes the Never Land pool complex, which features a giant Peter Pan inspired pirate ship and a 100 foot water slide. There are waterfalls, paths to walk or bike along, a smaller swimming pool, and a beach, as well as lovely gardens and lush greenery. The Disneyland Hotel also offers child care services, priority boarding on the monorail (which takes guests to the heart of the theme park), dining rooms for both families and adults, and nostalgic collections of Disney memorabilia that date back to the opening of Disneyland back in 1955.
The Paradise Pier Hotel overlooks the boardwalk, and uses a “by the sea” theme. There are 502 guestrooms available, as well as a newly-added rooftop pool that boasts a massive water slide resembling a wooden roller coaster, called “California Streamin’”. The pre-school set can enjoy a wading pool, or join their brothers and sisters for a Disney movie at the Paradise Theater. The Paradise Pier includes child care services, a workout room, and several different dining areas, all featuring Disney themes and characters.
The Grand Californian Resort is the newest Disneyland hotel property, and is located within the Californian Adventure theme park. The theme is based on the Arts and Crafts movement, and features warm, almost country-style architecture and flora. The lobby is a grand room with rich wood and stunning stained glass, where a piano player greets you with a lively tune. Storytellers read in front of a large fireplace, and plush sofas invite you to rest your weary feet after a day spent walking through the park. The 751 guestrooms continue the theme, with wood accents and quaint bedclothes. The large swimming pool includes a waterslide that winds itself around a giant Redwood tree, and there are two smaller pools for adults and for young children. Other amenities include a health spa, child care center, and award-winning restaurants.
No matter which Disneyland hotel you choose for your vacation, Disneyland offers a world of magic where their thrilling themes of fun and excitement can be found in every service, every room, and every tiny detail.
