One of the best known hotels in Atlantic City is the Tropicana Casino and Resort. The Tropicana’s casino is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can book a guest room or an opulent suite with an ocean view, and enjoy gourmet dining in one of their 21 restaurants. There are live shows and entertainment, numerous shops to browse through, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and an IMAX theater to enjoy.
Another popular place to stay is Harrah’s Atlantic City. Harrah’s boasts an impressive lineup of live entertainment, from concerts to Broadway style shows. Their casino is impressive in size and scope, and is the home of poker and other gambling tournaments throughout the year. There are two nightclubs, an indoor swimming pool, saunas and whirlpools, and a luxurious spa.
Donald Trump has three properties in Atlantic City; the Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Plaza, and the Trump Marina. All three hotels feature casinos, spacious guest rooms and suites, great dining – all the things you’ve come to expect from a hotel with the Trump name on it. As a little bonus, if you visit the websites of any of these three properties, you’ll find contests going on!
The Borgata Hotel, Casino, and Spa has recently undergone a huge renovation and expansion, which added 700 guest rooms and 100 suites to the hotel, located in a separate tower that it attached to the main building and casino. Both Bobby Flay and Wolfgang Puck have restaurants here, and there are several lounges and nightclubs on the property. The Borgata also boasts the largest poker room in Atlantic City.
If chain hotels are more your style, most of the best known names can be found here, including Hilton, Ramada, Days Inn, Econolodge, Quality Inn, Holiday Inn, Doubletree, and the Fairfield Inn. There are also numerous independent hotels, bed and breakfasts, and resorts that offer a unique experience in the heart of Atlantic City.
